Hoi An, VietnamIn reference to that big decision I was talking about a few days ago… I did it. I finally followed both my head and my heart; I so often only follow one or the other. It was a sudden and unexpected decision, and if you would have told me one month ago that I would be happy with this result, I wouldn’t have believed you.

I’m now a single woman, but one that is now free to do exactly what I’ve always dreamed of doing: to travel the world for a year. In the next year, I am going to travel SE Asia, study French in Paris, volunteer in India, and finally spend some quality time with my family (in Canada, America, and Israel). I might even make it to South America, I might even apply for school in Ireland, I don’t know. You know that saying about the world as your oyster? Well I feel like I just discovered the most beautiful pearl.

I’m so glad to come across your blog again, I think the last I saw was livejournal (I was before_moonrise). Happy to see you’re still traveling and posting pictures and being inspirational. Good luck with all the new changes.

Hi Brenna. I followed you on livejournal (my username was thejaclyneffect) and am now following you on here – your prose and photos are as beautiful as ever. Congratulations on making your hard but wise decision!

Hey Bren,
Don’t know when I’ll get to write you next as I don’t know when you’ll have an address! I got your last postcard from Philipines & it is grinning toothily at me from my noticeboard at home – keep em coming! 🙂

Glad to hear you’re happy & in control, which is the most important thing. Sometimes destiny throws a curveball at you; but I know that if you’re following your heart you’re bound to end up on the right path!

And the fact that you’re still going going going means I get to live vicariously still! Hurrah.

Anyway, look forward to more adventurous stories & musings from you in the coming weeks/months/years! And let me know when you have an address I can write to again.

Lots of love
Evelyn~
