Belfast, Northern Ireland

Tonight is for making curry, finishing novels, and looking through old photographs from 2007 and 2008. In those two years I visited Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Denmark, Iceland, Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, France, Portugal, Malta, Spain, Morocco, Egypt, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Japan, and New Zealand.

Sometimes I wonder if I will ever again be so free to roam the world, to just drop everything, to just disappear.

Well, what makes those circumstances different from now? Sometimes I definitely wonder if I’ll ever have time to travel like I did when I was studying in Europe, but I guess the key is just to live in a travel hub and find a job or opportunity that allows you (at least) weekends to get away!

Yes, I always think I’ll travel when I can…but in those years I was completely transient, with no permanent home, no permanent job, no permanent relationship, etc. The older I get (eep!) the more I want a bit more permanency in my life. I accept that I won’t be able to roam like I used to, but that’s my choice.

For gals with wanderlust like us, however, I doubt anything will hold us back!
