The days in Melbourne are cold, but with the approach of winter all of the leaves are turning lovely shades of orange and yellow. The days have been filled with long car rides down the Great Ocean Road, wine-tasting in Yarra Valley, as much barbecue and cheese and cookies and scones and fish and chips and hot chocolate as I can handle, shopping in downtown Melbourne, and, of course, laughing with my good friend Ali. I could really see myself living in a city like Melbourne one day…one day. Not yet.
Orange is one of my favourite colours (red and purple are up there, too). Tell me what your favourite colour is and why, and I’ll send you a postcard from down under.

Purple. Greens a close second though. Melbourne is a wonderful city (not biased at all! It is my home town, one that I will return to one day, when I finish over in Europe). Have you had a strawberry freddo? Small and simple, one of my favourite hometown treats. Oh, & pasta at the Italian waiters club, off Bourke st. Oh, & coffee at journal (cae). I’m glad you are liking it there.

My favourite colours are purple & yellow. (Regal much?) Hahaha. I just love purple because of its richness, and yellow for its sunniness & association with happiness.

I love Melbs, so jealous! 🙂

My favourite colour is red, especially a deep red like carmine or bordeaux. It’s vibrant, sensous and soothing all at the same time (and looks totally awesome with blonde complexions 😉

also new sidenote: wasabi kitkats were horrifying; green tea kitkats were ace. Korea needs to catch on to this STAT!!

Thank you very much, everyone! Sue and Cris, I don’t believe I have your addresses – can you send them to thisbatteredsuitcase at gmail.com?

By the way, stamps from Australia are a whopping $1.50 each. So I hope you all don’t mind that, although the postcards will be Australian, the stamps will be Korean, Singaporean, or perhaps even Malaysian! I’m still on a traveller’s budget, after all! 😉

Turquoise, calm colour of beautiful seas and clear clear skies. It makes me think of exciting holidays and relaxing days on the beach. <3

My favourite colour is Purple because it is a unisex colour and for me, expresses unity and calm. 🙂
