28 Day Countdown

The days are, as always, flying by – I can’t believe it is already well into the first week of April. I’m always busy: early breakfast dates, get-togethers with pizza and wine after work, hanging out with family and trying to get writing done all weekend. It is only just starting to sink in that I will be leaving for an eight-month journey in 28 days; I haven’t even started thinking about what I need to do in preparation. All I literally have is a one-way ticket.
It really feels like only a few weeks ago that I even arrived in my hometown after the last big trip I did around Asia, and here I am about to leave again. These past five months went faster than I ever thought they would, but I’m glad that I was here and that I worked hard and that I experienced so much; I know that I’ll be ready to start the adventure when the day arrives.

That pre-trip excitement is the best.

Stunning photos of a lovely city sweetheart. I agree – sometimes it seems we’ve only just had a rest from one adventure before going on the next… we wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂 xx

If you’re interested, I have the contact info for an amazing place in Antigua, Guatemala. They have private little cabins and rooms in the house, and meals are included. Owned by the nicest woman ever, and run by a woman and a young girl. Great food and good company.

Oh wow, thanks Lisa! I will definitely be contacting you about this. I am planning to stay in a hostel for a few days and would also like to do a home stay, but I’ll be in Antigua for a total of 7 weeks so I may want to switch it up a few times…
